Sofia Vergara joins cast of Family Guy

Actress Sofia Vergara has joined the cast of hit comedy Family Guy.

The Modern Family star, who was recently crowned the highest-paid actress on television by editors at Forbes magazine, is adding to her resume by signing up to guest star as lead character Peter Griffin's fantasy love interest.

The Colombian stunner's episode will air during the upcoming 11th season, which is set to premiere on 30 September (12) and feature a number of surprise appearances by Johnny Depp, Ryan Reynolds and Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz.

Vergara is quickly becoming one of the most highly-sought after stars on TV - she will also voice the role of Tia Sofia during a hip-hop-themed episode of animated program The Cleveland Show this autumn (12), according to EW.com.
