Singer squirms over Zayn Malik romance

Perrie Edwards was left red-faced on live TV on Thursday (24May12) when she was confronted with racy pictures of her smooching her One Direction boyfriend Zayn Malik.

Edwards, whose girl band Little Mix triumphed on Britain's The X Factor last year (11), has been linked to Malik for months but they only went public with their relationship earlier this week (beg21May12).

The couple was snapped canoodling and riding tandem on a scooter in London, and Edwards was left squirming with embarrassment when the images were shown during a TV interview.

In an appearance on chat show This Morning, she giggled at the photos and blushed before saying, "Obviously we are together, and I think everyone knows that now. I am really, really happy, but I'm not gonna get into details."

She was also adamant the couple's hectic schedule adds spice to the romance: "We think it's better (when Malik is on tour). It's more understanding because you get it and it's more exciting when you see each other. But when you don't see each other, you're so focused in the studio, our mindset is on what we're doing, so it's important to be like that."
