Sick Jessie J axes second gig

Jessie J has pulled out of a concert for community volunteers in Paris, France on Thursday (11Jul13) as she continues to struggle with a sore throat.

The Domino hitmaker fell ill earlier this week (begs08Jul13) and was forced to axe a support slot at a Justin Timberlake show in Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday (10Jul13), and now she has scrapped a second gig in a bid to rest her voice and speed up her recovery.

Jessie J had been booked to headline Thursday's Orange RockCorps event, a free concert held to reward volunteers for donating their time and services, alongside French rapper Oxmo Puccino and DJ Cut Killer, and she sent out a special message of encouragement to fans as she apologised for the late change of plans.

In a post on her Twitter.com blog, she writes, "Heartbeats (fans)! I'm so sorry I can't be with you at my shows tonight in Dublin and tomorrow in Paris. I promise I will be back very soon!"

She adds, "A special big up to the Rockcorps volunteers in Paris. You guys have been doing amazing work!!"
