Sia lands six ARIA nominations

Singer/songwriter Sia is the female to beat at this year's (14) ARIA Awards, with six nominations.

The Chandelier hitmaker was recognized in the top categories at her native Australia's annual music prizegiving, including Best Female Artist.

Her sixth studio record 1000 Forms of Fear also earned three nods for Album of the Year, Best Pop Release and Best Cover Art, which she designed herself.

Best-selling single Chandelier was also recognized in the Song of the Year and Best Video categories.

While Sia is the female artist with the most ARIA nominations, indie electronic musician Chet Faker leads the pack with an impressive nine nods, and Brisbane band Sheppard fellow behind with seven.

The 2014 ARIA Awards will be handed out on 26 November (14) in Sydney.
