Shawn Mendes a big winner at U.K. teen awards

Shawn Mendes was a double winner at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards in London on Sunday (23Oct16).

The singer beat out Ariana Grande, Drake, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez to pick up the Best International Solo Artist trophy and then grabbed Best Single for Stitches.

The Vamps were named Best British Group, while Best International Group went to Australian stars 5 Seconds of Summer, and Adele picked up Best British Solo Artist.

There were also wins for Taylor Swift (Most Entertaining Celeb), Suicide Squad (Best Film), while U.K. chart-toppers Little Mix, Niall Horan and Mendes performed at the Wembley Arena ceremony.
