Shakira hints at first Spanish album in a decade
Pregnant Shakira has hinted she will record her first all-Spanish album in a decade following the birth of her next child.
The Hips Don't Lie hitmaker is due to have her second son with longtime boyfriend Gerard Pique next year (15), but she already has plans for the next phase of her career.
She tells Spain's EuropaPress, "Next year, I think after the baby
is born, I'll start producing my new album. A Spanish album, which
is what has me most excited right now."
The record is a long time coming for the Colombian star, since her
last all-Spanish album was 2005's Fijacion Oral, Vol. 1.
Although she's still months away from welcoming another member to
their family, Shakira admits she'd have more kids in the future -
but balancing both her personal and professional life has already
proven to be difficult.
She adds, "One thing is what you want and the other is what you can
do. With Gerard I'd have 20 children but I don't think I'll have
the luxury to do it. For now we're going for the second one, we'll
see what happens. We'll see if one day we get a girl. We'll
see!"
