Daft Punk get lucky again at BMI Awards

Daft Punk's luck is refusing to run out - the French electronic music duo has just picked up another major music industry award for the hit tune Get Lucky.


The track was named Song of the Year at the BMI Awards in London, beating out hits by the likes of Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding.


The song picked up the win for being the most performed song on radio and television in the past 12 months.


Lyricist Sir Tim Rice was honored with the BMI Icon Award at the ceremony, which was held at the Dorchester Hotel in London on Monday night (13Oct14), and songwriter Sacha Skarbek, who co-wrote James Blunt's You're Beautiful, was rewarded for his work on Miley Cyrus' Wrecking Ball.


Van Morrison was another big winner - his song Brown Eyed Girl was honored.
