Selena Gomez 'happy' for ex-boyfriend Bieber's Grammys win
Selena Gomez proved there is no bad blood between her and ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber by congratulating the pop star for his first-ever Grammys win on Monday (15Feb16).
The Good For You singer was at the Los Angeles prizegiving to serve as both a presenter and her best friend Taylor Swift's date for the night, but before the live telecast even began, her former beau Bieber had won his first-ever Grammy for Best Dance Recording for Where Are U Now, his collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo.
When asked about Bieber's win during an interview with
Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, Gomez said, "I'm very
happy for him. Honestly, so cool. They have such a cool energy
amongst all of them to be able to create something like that. It's
really great."
And she also gushed about Swift's early win for Best Music Video
for Bad Blood, in which Gomez also starred, by posting a video on
Instagram.com showing their stunned reaction to the win.
In the short film, Swift, who was preparing to open the show, said
"What just happened?" and "Oh my God" repeatedly as she buried her
head in her hands, while pal Gomez just giggled and jumped up and
down with glee.
Taylor tweeted, "Bad Blood just won a Grammy for Best Music Video
and we are not ok," while Selena added, "I got to be in my best
friends first Grammy award winning music video!!!!!!?!"
