Selena Gomez caught in elevator scare

Selena Gomez had quite a fright on Tuesday (08Mar16) after getting stuck in an elevator in Paris.

The Come and Get It star is in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week, but the excitement came to a grinding halt when she and a group of passengers in a lift got trapped between floors at an undisclosed venue.

Selena took to Twitter.com to post a 19-second video of her harrowing journey.

"That time we got stuck in an elevator in Paris... " she captioned the brief footage.

In the clip, she starts to say, "If we keep talking, the oxygen...", before a male next to the pop star yells to someone on the other side of the elevator entrance, instructing them to pry open the metal doors.

The man finally manages to release the doors, much to the relief of Selena and her pals, who cheered as they prepared to escape.

The lift drama came the same day the singer arrived in Paris, where she is expected to attend shows for the final two days of Paris Fashion Week.

Selena's supermodel friend Gigi Hadid has already walked the runway in a number of shows, including an appearance at the Balmain presentation last week (03Mar16).

Gigi and fellow model Kendall Jenner hit headlines after appearing on the catwalk with switched hair colors for the show. Naturally blonde Gigi dyed her hair a dark brown, while brunette Kendall tried to find out if blondes really do have more fun with her new hairdo.

However, the swap didn't last long, as they went back to their normal hues for the Chanel show at the Grand Palais des Champs-Elysees, which was held on Tuesday.
