Sebastian Ingrosso distances himself from new Britney Spears track
Britney Spears's new album tracklist has prompted former Swedish House Mafia star Sebastian Ingrosso to distance himself from the project after she named him as a songwriter.
The Toxic hitmaker took to her Twitter.com page on Wednesday (11Sep13) to drum up excitement for her next single Work B**ch by posting a photo of her lyric sheet, along with a list of the songwriters, including rapper will.i.am and Spears herself.
Ingrosso's name was included in the shot but the Swedish DJ insists
he wasn't involved in making the track, telling Billboard.com, "I
don't really know why they put my name in there. It's a really good
song and I'm looking forward to what's going to happen with it. But
I can't really take credit for it."
The producer has put the mix-up down to an error, admitting he gave
the Black Eyed Peas frontman a beat that was actually created by an
artist he manages called Otto Knows.
He explains, "I'm good friends with will.i.am. He called me up and
said, 'I'm doing Britney's new album, do you have any beats for me
to write on?' We have a good connection. You never know. I don't
care if it's Britney Spears or if it's Led Zeppelin. I love
music."
Spears will release the track on Tuesday (17Sep13).
