Scarlett Johansson and estranged husband attend art event together

Scarlett Johansson and her estranged husband Romain Dauriac have made an appearance together at an art event.

The Ghost in the Shell actress and her French former partner posed together for photographers at the Singular Object Art Opening Cocktail Reception held at 53W53 Gallery on Wednesday night (05Apr17) in New York.

Scarlett and Romain, who both wore black outfits, appeared on good terms as they walked into the event, with the blonde actress flashing a big smile for the cameras.

The appearance certainly surprised fans, as Scarlett, 32, filed to end her two-year marriage to the journalist turned advertising executive last month (Mar17), and requested primary custody of the couple’s two-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy.

But in a later statement, Romain urged Scarlett to "withdraw" her action and go back to the "negotiating table" to keep the divorce battle private and discuss a new custody agreement for their child.

Their decision to pose up could signal that relations have thawed between the pair, and they are now working together amicably to end their marriage.

Scarlett and Romain secretly wed in a private wedding ceremony in October 2014. She was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011.
