Russell Wilson gushes about Ciara and her son

Ciara's fiance Russell Wilson has heaped praise on his bride-to-be and her son, insisting they bring him "pure joy".

The singer, 30, shares little Future Zahir with her ex-fiance, rapper Future, and the proud mom took to Instagram in the early hours of Thursday (19May16) to pay tribute to her boy.

"It Was Just Yesterday I Was Holding You In My Arms Like I Am In This Photo," she wrote beside a black-and-white picture of mother and son. "Now My Angel Baby Boy Is 2 Years Old!!....Running Around, Talking Up A Storm, Learning Fast & Getting Into Everything!

"It Has Truly Been The Best Life Experience Watching You Grow! I Am So Grateful To God For You, & I Can't Wait To See All The Many Other Amazing Things He Has In Store For You! Mommy loves You Soooo (sic) Much! #HappyBirthday To My Prince, Future Zahir."

The touching post prompted Ciara's beau, NFL star Russell, to share his own sentiments about being a part of little Future's life, while also applauding the Goodies hitmaker's skills as a mother.

"Watching him grow over the past year and a half has been the most fulfilling and special things I've ever been around," the 27-year-old gushed. "He gets the purest and the sweetest love from you and to watch you be the woman and mom you are ALL the time. Every morning. Every night. Every day... No matter what the circumstances or situation... good or bad... brings me so much joy.

"He is so blessed to have you hold him and hug him and love him with so much pure and real love that he will have no limits to what God has in store for him."

Proving he will be a doting stepdad once the couple weds, Russell added, "You both bring me pure joy and I can't wait to see him grow more and more into the loving, caring, kind-hearted man that he will be...2 years old! Wow. God is good!"

The couple became engaged in March (16) after a year of dating.

Meanwhile, Ciara's ex shared a brief birthday wish for his boy on Twitter.com, simply writing, "Baby Future made 2 today... Love u Son (sic)".

Baby Future's birthday comes three days after his parents faced off in a California court on Monday (16May16), when Ciara was denied her bid for sole custody of her son. The judge instead granted the hip-hop star's motion for joint custody.

Ciara and rapper Future, real name Nayvadius Wilburn, split in 2014, shortly after the birth of their son.

They are currently embroiled in another court battle, after the singer slapped Wilburn with a $15 million defamation lawsuit in February (16), accusing him of knowingly making false and defamatory statements about her parenting skills on social media.

Wilburn has denied the allegations and filed a countersuit. Both cases are pending.
