Robin Thicke 'lost his mojo' after becoming a dad
Robin Thicke lost his "mojo" when he became a first-time father last year (10), because he struggled to balance his career with his new role as a parent.
The Lost Without You hitmaker and his actress wife Paula Patton welcomed little Julian Fuego last summer (10), but Robin Thicke admits they both suffered knocks to their confidence as they tried to get to grips with looking after a baby.
Robin Thicke tells People.com, "It was hard when we became parents,
because we had to balance our careers with this new person in our
lives. I lost my mojo for awhile. But finally we hit a rhythm, and
we are more in love than ever and so supportive of each other. We
are both crazy about our son."
The star insists having Julian in his life has changed his approach
to music for the better - and he's even dedicated a new track to
the tot to encourage him to stand up and fight any challenges he
may face as he grows up.
He says, "Since I’ve become a dad, I no longer perform for
me, I perform for my family. Julian has changed my music and made
me think less of myself. He is an angel, the greatest thing that
has ever happened to me...
"I wrote one song called Never Give Up to encourage Julian to fight
back when he faces problems in life."
