Robin Thicke attempts to woo Paula Patton with Get Her Back
Robin Thicke took his efforts to win back his estranged wife Paula Patton to the Billboard Music Awards stage in Las Vegas on Sunday night (18May14) when he debuted an emotional new song, titled Get Her Back.
The singer has been trying to reconcile with the actress, his childhood sweetheart, ever since news of their split hit headlines in February (14).
He made a string of public pleas for a reunion with Patton at a
number of his concerts in the aftermath of the separation news, and
he has since poured his heart into the lyrics of a new track in his
latest bid to woo her back.
Thicke, who was not wearing his wedding ring, premiered the tune at
the Las Vegas awards ceremony on Sunday, when he crooned lines
including, "I gotta treat her right/ I gotta cherish her for life/
I gotta get her, go get her, go get her, go get her back
tonight".
He also made sure to express his gratitude to Patton as he accepted
his first two honours of the night for Top R&B Song and Top Hot
100 Song for Blurred Lines, telling the audience, "Most
importantly, I'd like to thank my wife for her love and support for
all these years."
Thicke was also named the winner of Top Digital Song and Top Radio
Song for the summer smash hit.
