Rita Ora settles sneaker battle
British-Albanian pop star Rita Ora has settled a long-running legal dispute with Italian sneaker brand Superga after she was accused of breaching her contract with the company by wearing another firm's footwear.
The R.I.P. hitmaker was hired as a spokesmodel for Superga last year (13), but the deal turned ugly after she was photographed wearing a pair of shoes from rival company Converse on a night out in London.
Ora alleged Superga bosses withheld the final installments of her
fee following the dispute, prompting a legal battle in which she
demanded they hand over $144,000 plus costs and interest.
It has now emerged that both parties have agreed to settle the
matter out of court, according to Britain's Mail on Sunday
newspaper. Details of the settlement have not been made public.
