Rita Ora and Calvin Harris settle feud
Singer Rita Ora has settled a feud with DJ Calvin Harris after they fell out over pop star Cheryl Cole's latest single.
Cole topped the U.K. charts on Sunday (17Jun12) when her latest solo offering Call My Name, which was written and produced by Harris, became the fastest selling single of the year (12).
Ora was recently quoted as saying she was offered the track first
but turned it down as the music did not fit in with her desired
style, but the comment sparked a feud with Harris, who hit back on
Monday (18Jun12), insisting Ora was not in line for the tune.
In a series of posts on his Twitter.com page, Harris writes, "For
the record, Call My Name was never given to Rita Ora to sing. She
made that up, don't know why... Read it on Wikipedia just then, its
(sic) crazy how news stories become facts like that!"
Addressing Ora, he adds, "I was setting the record straight as you
didn't at the time. It was a disrespectful comment to make, that's
all."
But Ora has since ended the feud by apologising to Harris on the
microblogging site, writing, "I hate beef and fighting. So I love u

actually happened they twisted it..."
