Rihanna sends make-up gift to Cardi B
Rihanna has congratulated Cardi B on her record-breaking hit Bodak Yellow (Money Moves) by gifting the rap newcomer with full set of her new, in-demand make-up collection.
Cardi made U.S. pop chart history this week (begs25Sep17) by becoming the first female rapper this century to grab the number one spot as a solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100 with her debut single.
Stars including Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, and J. Cole were quick to offer their congratulations in posts on social media, while Taylor Swift, whose Look What You Made Me Do was replaced at the top by Bodak Yellow (Money Moves), proved there was no love lost between the pair by sending Cardi a bunch of flowers.
Now Rihanna has also chosen to mark the reality star-turned-rapper's chart achievement with a gift of her own.
"Look what I got!" Cardi exclaimed in an Instagram Story post on Thursday (28Sep17), showing off all her cosmetics from the Work hitmaker's Fenty Beauty collection, which was launched in early September (17).
"I know you make-up artists is jealous (sic)," she boasted.
Lauryn Hill became the first female rapper to hit the top of the Hot 100 without a supporting cast of friends and peers with Doo Wop (That Thing) in 1998, and remained the only one to do so until Cardi's feat.
