Rihanna's new ink dedicated to Drake - report
Rihanna's latest piece of body art is reportedly a symbol of her love for boyfriend Drake.
Celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang recently inked a camouflage shark on the Diamonds singer's left ankle, and he hit Instagram on Thursday (01Sep16) to show off the piece he created.
In the black-and-white shot, the shark is drawn horizontally on the
front of her ankle, and Bang Bang wrote the caption: "Camo shark
for my dear friend @badgalriri."
A source close to the star reveals to Entertainment Tonight the
tattoo is a nod to the stuffed animal Drake bought Rihanna during a
romantic date at Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada in his native Toronto
last month (Aug16).
Rihanna was spotted carrying the stuffed animal in her Gucci bag
while walking out of her New York City apartment on Monday
(29Aug16).
After the MTV Music Video Awards on Sunday (28Aug16), when Drake
presented Rihanna with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award and
confessed his longstanding love for her, he posted a sweet shot of
himself kissing the superstar on the cheek, with the shark's head
sneakily peeking out from the corner of the photo.
"This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done
for us!," Drake wrote. "You have affected so many of our lives in
the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri".
Since then, the two stars have been inseparable, even taking their
love to Miami, where Rihanna joined her beau onstage during his
Wednesday night (31Aug16) Summer Sixteen concert to perform their
hit Work.
They stunned fans by locking lips and wrapping their arms around
each other.
Drake and Rihanna have been romantically linked for years,
reportedly dating in 2009, 2010 and again in 2014.
