Rebel Wilson received death threats from One Direction fans
Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson received death threats from One Direction fans after getting too close to the boy band during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.
The actress, an avid fan of the band, surprised Harry Styles and company when they appeared on the talk show late last year (15), but young devotees did not appreciate her getting up close and personal to their pin-ups - especially when she pretended to molest Styles.
Returning to the Ellen show for an episode that airs on Friday
(19Feb16), Rebel told the host the fans weren't kind.
"Basically, I got accused of sexually assaulting Harry Styles," she
said. "These little girls, I think they were about 12, were very,
very unhappy with that.
"We're just, like, two professional entertainers having a good
time. And he really enjoyed it, and I told them that on Twitter and
then, they just sent me more death threats... They love them and
they think they're gonna be with them, and I'm like, 'Well, you
guys never, like, are with them, so..."
The Bridesmaids star, who recently tried to pick up Justin Bieber
at the first show of Jennifer Lopez's Las Vegas residency, also
told Ellen she has a major crush on rapper Drake and chose him over
the likes of Styles, Bieber, Zac Efron, Leonardo Di Caprio and
fellow Australian Liam Hemsworth in a game of Who'd You Rather?
She also revealed she had attempted to get Drake cast as her lover,
adding, "I really wanted Drake to be my love interest in Pitch
Perfect but it hasn't yet happened."
