Raven-Symone wins NAACP Theatre Award

Raven-Symone was among the big winners at the 2011 National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Theatre Awards in Los Angeles.
The actress, who shot to fame as Olivia in The Cosby Show, picked up the Spirit Award on Monday (29Aug11) for her performance alongside Rosie Perez in the play Father's Day.
The honour, previously awarded to Usher and Vivica A. Fox, recognises performers who bring "energy, tenacity, innovation, commitment, talent and spirit" to the stage.
