R. Kelly and Mary J. Blige to tour together
R&B powerhouses R. Kelly and Mary J. Blige are joining forces to embark on a co-headlining tour next year (14).
The I Believe I Can Fly singer, who is currently promoting his new album Black Panties, reveals the musical pair is planning to launch a joint trek together in the coming months, although he has stopped short of sharing specific details.
He tells New York radio station WBLS 107.5, "We're working on the
Black Panties tour right now, but before we get into the Black
Panties tour, I'm going on tour with Mary J. Blige. We're doing a
King and Queen tour."
Blige has yet to comment on the news.
This is not the first time Kelly has toured with another musical
superstar - in 2004, he teamed up with rapper Jay Z for the
ill-fated Best of Both Worlds tour, which was cancelled following a
fall-out after only a few shows.
