Professor Green and Millie Mackintosh split

Professor Green and Millie Mackintosh have announced that they have separated, just two years after marrying in a lavish summer wedding.

Rapper Green, real name Stephen Manderson, and reality star-turned-fashion designer Millie wed in September 2013 at Babington House in Somerset, England.

In a joint statement to the Daily Mirror newspaper on Saturday (20Feb16), the couple said: "It is with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation. It is a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known that it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well."

Neither has yet filed for divorce, the newspaper reported.

Rumors of a break-up have dogged the couple for months, and intensified recently as Green revealed that the pair are like "ships in the night" and barely spend any time together due to their busy schedules.

The pair jetted off on an alleged make-or-break holiday to Italy at the end of January (16) in an effort to salvage their relationship, with both Millie and Green posting loved-up images on social media throughout the trip.

Despite finding fame on Channel 4 reality series Made In Chelsea, which followed rich socialites around London, Millie was notoriously private over her relationship with Green. She reportedly quit the show after being pressured to feature her relationship - and subsequent marriage - in front of the cameras.

Neither Millie or Green have mentioned the split on their social media accounts. As she attended various London Fashion Weekend events on Saturday as the news broke, Millie was seen looking stony-faced.
