Priyanka Chopra signs on to play Baywatch villain

Former Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has been cast as the new Baywatch baddie.

The actress and co-star Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson announced the latest news from the set of the film version of the hit TV series on Tuesday (16Feb16).

Posting a video on her Instagram account, the Quantico star wrote: "And it's time to tell u (sic) all officially!! #Baywatch it is @therock ! Being Bad is what I do best!!! U better watch out!! #PCinBaywatch."

In the footage, filmed on a windy beach, Johnson calls his new co-star, "the biggest star out of India and one of the biggest stars in the world", before welcoming Chopra to the cast, and admitting, "I've got my hands full... She's mean!"

The actress chuckles, "You've no idea... I'm really mean!"

Chopra joins a cast that includes Johnson, Zac Efron and Alexandra Daddario. Comedian Hannibal Buress is also in talks for a leading role.
