One Direction star rejoins tour

One Direction star Zayn Malik has rejoined the British boyband on tour after flying back to the U.K. following the death of a family member.

The star quit the pop group's ongoing American tour earlier this month (Mar12) to attend his aunt's funeral, but he jetted back to the States this week (beg05Mar12) to resume his duties with his bandmates.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, Malik, writes, "Back in the US can't wait to see the boys hopefully they haven't missed me too much."

He was back on stage with the band for a show at the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) in Durham, North Carolina on Tuesday (06Mar12).

Before the concert, Malik's bandmate Harry Styles posted a picture of his pal on his Twitter page, and wrote, "First show tonight with Zayn back... It's gonna be fun."
