One Direction wrapped up their shows in Sydney, Australia by setting a box office record at the venue.
The Live While We're Young hitmakers played the last of their seven concerts at the city's Allphones Arena on Saturday (26Oct13), having sold a total of 81,542 tickets.
The figure smashed the venue's previous record held by Metallica,
who sold 74,244 across four shows in 2010.
Allphones Arena executives marked the achievement by presenting
each member of the British boyband with a golden microphone and
unveiled the first ever entertainer's star, which is now mounted on
a wall by the venue's entrance.
