One Direction meet sick fans at Wembley

Boyband One Direction concluded weeks of good deeds on Sunday (08Jun14) by meeting with a group of sick youngsters at London's Wembley Stadium ahead of their final show at the venue.

The Story Of My Life hitmakers are ambassadors for the Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity, which grants wishes for kids battling severe or life-threatening medical issues, and they have previously gifted sick fans with tickets to their shows.

On Sunday, the boys met with 53 poorly youngsters at the concert venue before the last of their three shows there, and answered their questions and posed for pictures with them.

The boys have raised $480,000 during the Ireland and U.K. leg of their Where We Are world tour by asking ticket buyers to also donate to charity. The donations are to be split between Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The charitable pop idols are also donating 80 cents from every ticket sold in Ireland and Britain to the Stand Up To Cancer charity and have raised $960,000.

Niall Horan also raised more than $480,000 for good causes by organising a star-studded charity soccer match last month (May14).
