Officials to carry out Bobbi Kristina Brown autopsy
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of Bobbi Kristina Brown's death after she was taken off life support on Sunday (26Jul15).
In January (15), the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was found unresponsive in the bathtub by her partner Nick Gordon at the home they shared in Roswell, Georgia.
The 22 year old was placed in a medically-induced coma, and her
family agreed to turn off her life support on Sunday after almost
six months.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner in Georgia has confirmed to
People.com that Brown's passing will be investigated as a "known or
suspected non-natural death" and an autopsy will be carried out to
determine what happened at her Roswell home.
The statement reads: "Because the events at her home leading to her
death occurred in Fulton County (Roswell), her death has been
reported to the Fulton County Medical Examiner for determination of
the cause, manner, and circumstances of death. Despite the long
interval between her being found unresponsive and her death, an
autopsy will still be necessary to further evaluate possible causes
of death or contributing factors...
"(The time lapse will) complicate reconstruction of the events
surrounding her initial unresponsiveness. Interpretation of autopsy
findings and other information will also be challenging. However,
an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise
about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death."
