Nina Dobrev enjoys daredevil holiday in Hawaii

Actress Nina Dobrev is showing off her daredevil side on a Hawaiian holiday by skydiving and swimming with sharks.

The Vampire Diaries star headed to the Pacific island paradise for a festive break with her actor boyfriend Austin Stowell and the showbiz couple wasted no time in sampling activities for local thrill-seekers.

They leaped from an aircraft at 12,000 feet (3,650 metres) on Saturday (02Jan16) and later posted video footage online showing Nina grinning with delight as she free falls through the sky.

The following day (03Jan16), Nina and Whiplash actor Austin headed out on a boat with a group of fellow tourists to swim with sharks in the ocean.

In a post on Instagram.com, alongside an image of Nina on the deck of the boat, she wrote, "We free dived with 22 wild Sharks this morning and it was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Help us save these beautiful creatures! More underwater pictures to come!!!!"

Nina and Austin began dating early last year (15).
