Nikki Reed performs at autism charity event

Nikki Reed teamed up with her musician husband Paul Mcdonald on Thursday night (29Nov12) to perform at an autism charity event in Los Angeles.

The Twilight star, whose brother grew up with the condition, attended Autism Speaks' Blue Tie - Blue Jean Ball, and she was only too happy to take to the stage for a short set with her partner.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "Thank you Autism Speaks for letting us perform tonight. I'm so grateful for what you guys do. Thank you for allowing families to see that they are not alone on this journey."

Reed also gave her online fans a glimpse into her evening by posting a photograph of herself posing with Homeland actor Navid Negahban.

She added, "Can't believe I met Navid Negahban tonight! Had to ask for a picture! For those of you who don't know, he plays Abu Nazir on Homeland!"
