Nicole Scherzinger still loves Lewis Hamilton

Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about her split from Lewis Hamilton, insisting she still loves the Formula 1 racing driver.

The former Pussycat Dolls star parted from the British sportsman in October (11) after four years together, but she reveals the former couple remains close.

She tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "I still love him. It's all very recent and it's hard for me to talk about it. But we are good friends. We're great friends."

Scherzinger also dismisses reports she has been getting close to rapper Tinie Tempah since the breakdown of her relationship with Hamilton.

The singer adds, "It's the most ridiculous thing that people are saying something went on. I'm not that kind of girl."

Scherzinger is now looking forward to a fresh start in 2012, declaring: "Next year I'll work on me. It's a new chapter."
