Nicki Minaj ordered to rest her voice

Rapper Nicki Minaj has been ordered to rest her voice for two weeks following the end of her North American tour.

The Starships hitmaker wrapped up the trek on Sunday (12Aug12) with a show in Vancouver, Canada, and she is now facing 14 days of silence on doctor's orders.

When asked by a Twitter.com fan about her voice, the singer replied, "The doctor has asked me to take 2 wks (weeks) of voice rest."

However, Minaj still wants to perform at Britain's V Festival as planned this weekend (18-19Aug12), as well as a show in Dublin, Ireland on 21 August (12), and is considering going against the medical advice.

She adds, "But... I'd have 2 miss both shows... 2 UK festivals, + Dublin. I'll keep u (sic) posted. What's a girl to do???"
