Nicki Minaj helps young cancer patient's dream come true

Nicki Minaj is making a young superfan's dreams come true after a basketball player began an online campaign to help the cancer patient meet the rapper.

Washington Wizards star John Wall launched a drive to bring the pair together after hearing the story of Miyah, a five-year-old girl suffering from Burkitt's lymphoma.

According to MTV.com, the youngester has wanted to meet the Starships hitmaker for a while, so Wall decided to call on Minaj via social media in an effort to make the little girl's dream come true.

He took to his Instagram and Twitter.com pages to campaign for the celebrity meeting, with the hashtags #HelpMiyahMeetNicki and #PinkWigForMiyah, and even posted a video and photo of himself with Miyah on the basketball court.

His efforts worked, as Minaj then took to her own Instagram account, and reposted Wall's photo, along with the caption, "Hi Miyah!!!! Let's see what we can come up with for a pretty little princess."

In an interview with The Washington Post, Wall lauds Minaj for her eagerness to meet Miyah, and says, "I knew Minaj had a caring heart, and when she had an opportunity to see it or read about it, I knew she'd reach out as soon as she could... You never want to miss an opportunity to put a smile on a kid's face."
