Nick Young's ex confirms pregnancy, rekindled relationship last year
Iggy Azalea's ex-fiance Nick Young reportedly began seeing the mother of his child behind the rapper's back just three months after proposing to her.
The Black Widow hitmaker became engaged to basketball player Nick on his 30th birthday in June, 2015, less than two years after they began dating.
However, their relationship hit headlines in March (16) amid claims
of the sportsman's infidelity, and last month (Jun16), Iggy called
off their plans to wed and announced they had split, as it emerged
Young's ex-girlfriend, Keonna Green, is pregnant with his second
child.
Now Keonna, who shares four-year-old Nick Jr. with the athlete, has
broken her silence to detail her rekindled romance with Young,
revealing the former couple started getting intimate again last
autumn (15) - despite his engagement to Iggy.
"It was last year, around September," she recalls to Us Weekly
magazine. "We would take our son to Magic Mountain (theme park in
California) together. But sometimes Nick would say, 'Oh, there's
too much traffic', and he'd just play with Nicholas in his room. We
got caught up in the moment and it just happened."
Keonna alleges she warned Nick not to be "sloppy" and urged him to
"be honest" with Iggy, but he brushed off her concerns and decided
to keep their reunion under wraps, while continuing to date the
Australian star in public.
The former high school cheerleader claims she has no regrets about
sleeping with Nick again, because even though they were no longer
together romantically, she genuinely believed he was 'The One'.
"I didn't feel guilty because I was in love with a man," she says
defiantly.
She maintains she tried to reach out to Iggy herself, but states,
"I never got a response."
And Keonna, who is expecting a daughter, has nothing but good
wishes for her famous former love rival: "I wish her a lifetime of
success... I mean, I'm definitely not going to apologize for being
in love with a man who I have a lot of history with. I do wish her
that kind of success and hope that she can get through this
difficult time and she and Nick can move forward from this."
Keonna's candid interview emerges almost a week after Iggy took to
Twitter to accuse Nick of cheating on her with multiple women,
having allegedly caught her man being unfaithful on their home
security cameras.
However, the Us Weekly chat could land Keonna in legal trouble
after she was warned to keep Iggy's name out of any tabloid
tell-all.
A warning letter issued by the hip-hop star's lawyer, Howard King,
and obtained by TMZ.com editors on Wednesday (06Jul16), reads: "Ms.
Green has done enough to embarrass herself by her pathetic efforts
to profit from Iggy's hard-won celebrity, all in exchange for
whatever paltry sums she can garner in exchange for peddling tales
of her tasteless exploits...
"Any mention of Iggy in your client's efforts to sell a story to
whatever tabloid needs to fill its pages with the fetid story of
your client's classless antics will be considered a violation of
Iggy's rights of publicity... subjecting Ms. Green and any
publication that airs your client's soiled laundry to significant
liability."
