Nick Jonas fuels romance rumors with Camila Cabello

Nick Jonas has sent fans into a tailspin after fueling romance rumors with Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello.

The Jealous hitmaker took to Instagram on Wednesday night (15Jun16), posting of a throwback photo featuring him alongside the pop star, who is cosying up to Nick's side as someone takes a picture of them.

Nick wrote, "That moment when...," in the image's caption and he also included a smiling face topped off with a sunglasses emoji in the cute photo.

The social media flirtation between the pair seemed to have already been simmering just a couple hours prior to him posting the snap, as Cabello, 19, shared her support for Nick by tweeting out a link to his new album, Last Year Was Complicated.

"so happy for my friend @nickjonas... !!!!!!!!!! under you is the jam and I love the album," she wrote in the Twitter message, topping the tweet off with red heart emojis.

When Nick responded, "Thanks! You're so awesome!," fans began to suspect the social media exchanges were more than platonic and some assumed the two had turned their friendship into something romantic.

Users took to Twitter and wrote, "Y'all look hot together," and "You guys look so cute together," but neither commented on the speculation.

The two have been friends for a long time time, and Nick even posted a photo of him hanging with Camila and the rest of the girls from Fifth Harmony following the Billboard Music Awards last month (May16).

Nick, who has been linked to Kate Hudson and Lily Collins in recent months, recently told late night host Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that he's not looking for anything serious because he is currently focused on his career, not his love life.

"I'm meeting people and hanging out, I'm not in a relationship," he said.

Meanwhile, Camila's last high-profile relationship was with Austin Mahone in 2014.
