Nick Cannon hits out at tabloid over divorce claims

Nick Cannon has hit out at tabloid rumors suggesting his five-year marriage to Mariah Carey is on the rocks.

Editors at the National Enquirer have published a cover story suggesting the pair's union is heading to a divorce court amid allegations of cheating.

The article also alleges Carey was flirting with rapper Nas during his recent 40th birthday party, leaving her husband furious.

Now Cannon has broken his silence on the claims, dismissing the publication's credibility on Twitter.com.

He writes, "The NatEnquirer is for sale! I tried to buy the company but my accountants keep saying its not worth the money. liars"

The report comes in the same week (begs06Oct13) the Hero superstar send Cannon a picture of her cleavage as a birthday treat - on Twitter.

The singer uploaded the saucy snap in celebration of the America's Got Talent presenter's 33rd birthday.

The couple is parents to two year old twins Monroe and Moroccan.
