Niall Horan sparks rumors Liam Payne is expecting a daughter

Niall Horan has sparked rumors his One Direction bandmate Liam Payne is expecting a baby girl with girlfriend Cheryl.

The 23-year-old singer was seen leaving upmarket baby boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood on Wednesday (07Dec16), carrying a large hamper of pink gifts.

The basket, which appeared to contain a pink blanket, stuffed toy and baby toiletries, was wrapped in cellophane, but its contents could clearly be seen as Niall headed back to his car.

While it's not known which basket Niall purchased from the store, options range in price from $200 to $10,000 .

Liam and Cheryl have yet to comment on claims they are expecting their first child together, but the singer's noticeable baby bump has acted as confirmation for many.

Judging by the size of Cheryl's burgeoning stomach, the 33-year-old singer is due early in the New Year (17).

Niall's shopping trip came after it was claimed Liam, 23, is planning to propose to his pregnant girlfriend after she gives birth to their baby.

According to Britain's Daily Star newspaper, Liam was inspired to make the romantic gesture by Cheryl's former Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh's husband Justin Scott, who popped the question after the singer welcomed their first child in September 2014.

"Liam got the idea to propose straight after the birth after finding out that Justin popped the question after the delivery of their first child," a source told the publication.

"It’s given Liam so many ideas. There will definitely be wedding bells sooner than we expected.”

Kimberley and Justin are now expecting their second child together, meaning that she and best friend Cheryl are pregnant at the same time.

After Cheryl debuted her bump at a Christmas carol concert in London last month (Nov16), many fans were expecting her to confirm the pregnancy with a post on her social media.

The confirmation never came though and Liam's sister Ruth took to her Twitter page to insist it's up to the singer and his girlfriend if they decide to announce the news.

"Bump or no bump,announced or not,it’s completely up to my brother and cheryl what parts of there private lives they choose to share and when (sic)," she wrote.
