Natalia Jimenez stages lesbian fan proposal at concert

Spanish singer Natalia Jimenez helped stage a special proposal for two of her female fans at her concert in Miami, Florida on Saturday (18Jul15).

The pop star was performing at the James L. Knight Center when she revealed she had been asked to make a special dedication towards the end of her set.

Jimenez told the crowd, "I have been asked to dedicate (song) Por Ser Tu Mujer (To Be Your Woman) tonight to someone who wants to propose marriage."

A spotlight moved to a woman in the audience who got down on one knee to pop the question to her girlfriend.

The proposal was a success and the audience cheered the couple as the unidentified fans burst into tears and hugged each other.

Jimenez later posted a photo of the fan proposal on her Twitter.com page.

Their engagement comes almost a month after the U.S. Supreme Court legalized same-sex unions in all 50 U.S. states.
