Morena Baccarin: 'The TV gods handed me Homeland'
Homeland star Morena Baccarin has the failure of V to thank for her new role in the cult show - she had to initially sit out the pilot episode because she was signed to the revamped sci-fi series.
The sexy star has become one the TV world's hottest properties after playing the frustrated wife of Damian Lewis' character Nicholas Brody in the gritty series but she reveals the role wasn't hers to begin with.
She explains, "I fell in love with the script the minute I read it
but I wasn't originally in the pilot. They were recasting that
part.
"V got cancelled and the next week we went hard for that show
because we felt so passionate about it."
And she admits there were "conversations" about the amount of
nudity on the show when she signed on.
Baccarin tells Access Hollywood, "There were conversations about
what I was comfortable with and not comfortable with. Clearly, I
don't want to do much more nudity on that show... but it's
tastefully done; the character is incredibly vulnerable a lot and
it furthers the story to literally show flesh."
