Morena Baccarin's estranged husband moves back to Los Angeles
Actress Morena Baccarin is facing a new challenge from her estranged husband Austin Chick as he has moved back to Los Angeles after previously agreeing to co-parent their young son in New York City.
Chick filed for divorce from the former Homeland star in June (15) after four years of marriage, sparking a custody battle over their two-year-old son Julius. They initially agreed to share legal custody of the tot, but Baccarin has primary physical custody of Julius.
Three months later in September (15), Baccarin went public with a
new romance with her Gotham co-star Ben McKenzie, and revealed she
is pregnant with his child.
Also in September, a judge allowed the mom-to-be to move Julius
with her to New York, where she films Gotham, since her doctor
advised against extensive air travel due to her high-risk
pregnancy.
As a result, Chick, moved to the Big Apple and into an apartment
which Baccarin paid for, but now, according to new legal documents
obtained by People magazine, Chick has since had a change of heart
and returned to L.A.
"Chick shipped some furniture there and actually stayed there with
the child for approximately two weeks in July. Apparently he
changed his mind and returned to Los Angeles with the child when he
learned that Baccarin had a new boyfriend," according to the
papers.
A new hearing on child and spousal support is scheduled for 19
November (15).
