More woes Down Under for One Direction

Written by . Published: September 26 2013

One Direction's time Down Under has been blighted by more trouble after they were accused of running red lights on the road and heading out on a midnight gambling spree.

The boyband's motorcade reportedly skipped through three stop signs as it spirited the singers from Perth Airport to a hotel in the city late on Wednesday night (25Sep13).

Within minutes of arriving, Harry Styles headed out to sample the local delights in the early hours of Thursday morning (26Sep13) - he was photographed playing roulette in the VIP area of the Pearl Room casino, despite the stars' bosses giving them a serious dressing down for reckless gambling on their 2012 tour.

Now their behaviour in the city has attracted an official reprimand, with Australia's Police Minister Liza Harvey telling The Daily Telegraph, "I would encourage One Direction to pull their head in in Western Australia and set an example for their predominantly young fans... We have really strong legislation in this state and that applies to everyone who visits here."

The boyband's time in Australia had already been marred with problems - Louise Tomlinson was left red-faced after falling onstage and the singers had to be rushed from Adelaide airport when fans tried to mob them.
