More big numbers for Adele's Hello in the U.S.
Adele's comeback single and video continues to notch up some impressive figures in the pop charts.
According to a YouTube.com trends report posted on Wednesday (04Nov15), her new promo for Hello was viewed 50 million times within the first 48 hours of its release on 23 October (15), 30 million more than Justin Bieber's new dance video for Sorry over the same time period.
Meanwhile, in racing to the top of the new Billboard Hot 100 and
setting a record for the most downloads sold in a week, Hello has
become the second song to move at least one million copies in seven
days since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991, counting
both digital and physical singles.
Only Elton John's double-sided Candle in the Wind 1997/Something
About the Way You Look Tonight logged two weeks of higher sales
than Hello - 3,446,000 upon its debut in October, 1997 and a
further 1,212,000 the following week.
