Miss Colombia is Vin Diesel's new xXx love interest

Miss Universe runner-up, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez , will make her movie debut as Vin Diesel's love interest in the upcoming Xxx sequel.

The beauty queen hired fellow countrywoman Sofia Vergara's manager, Luis Balaguer, to oversee her rising career last month (Jan16), weeks after the embarrassment of the infamous Miss Universe finale flub, and now she has snagged a role opposite Furious 7 star Vin.

Sources tell TMZ.com Ariadna will fly out to the Dominican Republic on Tuesday (01Mar16) to start work on xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

Vin, who appeared in the original xXx release in 2002, confirmed he was returning to the franchise in August (15) after sitting out 2005's xXx: State of the Union, which starred Ice Cube.

Samuel L. Jackson will reprise his role in the third installment too, which will also feature martial arts stars Jet Li and UFC icon Conor McGregor, and actresses Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose, and Bollywood star Deepika Padukone.

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, directed by D. J. Caruso, is due to hit movie theaters in January, 2017.

Ariadna, who is an established model and TV host in her native Colombia, shot to international fame in December (15), when Miss Universe host Steve Harvey incorrectly crowned her the winner of the coveted Las Vegas beauty pageant. The red-faced comic revealed he had made a mistake seconds later, and the tiara was then taken away from the lovely Latina and handed to the real winner, Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach.
