Miranda Lambert in the clear over threat complaint

Miranda Lambert has been cleared of allegedly threatening to punch a fellow resident in her Oklahoma hometown after police found no evidence to support the complaint.

The country star was named in a police report filed by Tishomingo local Melanie Peden earlier this month (Mar13), amid claims the Grammy winner lost her temper after she was invited to check out the resident's new store, Two Doors Down Junktique, which is located close to Lambert's own home goods shop, The Pink Pistol.

Peden alleged the 29 year old, who lives in the city with her singer husband Blake Shelton, flew into a rage when she learned the accuser had snapped up the property from under her nose and the 48 year old was so shaken up by the encounter, she filed a complaint with local cops on 13 March (13).

An investigation was launched, but the case has since been closed.

A police representative tells Eonline.com, "Both the District Attorney and the City Attorney reached the same conclusion that no crime was committed."

It is not yet known whether Lambert was questioned over the incident. Officers recently admitted they had struggled to set up a time to speak to the busy singer about the allegations.
