Miranda Lambert axes shows due to illness
Country star Miranda Lambert has axed a host of upcoming shows after falling ill with vocal problems.
The House That Built Me hitmaker was due to perform at the Jam in Valley festival in Varysburg, New York on Friday night (06Jul12), but she's now pulled out of the gig and cancelled all appearances through next week (begs09Jul12) on doctor's orders.
A post on the singer's official website reads, "Due to
overextending her voice, Miranda has been placed on vocal rest.
She's under the care of her doctor and she hopes to return to the
road next weekend (13-15Jul12)."
This isn't the first time Lambert has been forced to bow out of a
performance - earlier this year (12), she altered her schedule
after her husband Blake Shelton's father passed away, and again
following the death of a close friend.
