Justin Bieber ticketed for speeding

Pop star Justin Bieber was ticketed for speeding in Los Angeles on Friday (06Jul12).

The Baby hitmaker was driving along the 101 Freeway in his luxury Fisker Karma sports car when police officers signalled their lights and pulled over the singer.

Bieber was then cited for cruising at speeds of more than 80 miles (128.7 kilometres) per hour after allegedly trying to outrun a team of paparazzi.

The 18 year old's manager Scooter Braun his since confirmed the story to TMZ.com, claiming Bieber was pursued by snappers again after the run-in with cops, prompting the teen to call emergency hotline 911.

Officials from the California Highway Patrol are currently investigating the situation to determine whether the photographers created a hazardous situation.
