Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss: 'We're not models'

Written by . Published: June 13 2014

Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss have baffled fans by insisting they are not models, despite making millions posing for fashion shoots.

The stunners, two of the world's highest-earning supermodels, claim they see themselves as businesswomen and athletes rather than catwalk queens.

Kerr, who is the face of high-profile campaigns for the brands including H&M, Reebok, and Wonderbra, tells The Edit, "From my first photoshoot at 14, I never saw myself as a model. If someone asks me what I do, I say, 'I have my own skincare line.' I don't define myself as a model."

Victoria's Secret beauty Kloss adds in a separate interview with intothegloss.com, "I think that's why I treat myself more as an athlete than just a model. But I'm not a professional athlete, I'm not a professional dancer, I'm not a professional anything; I have never considered modeling an actual job title. I have yet to determine what my job actually is but, yeah, modeling is a fun and funny gig."
