Millie Bobby Brown auditioned to play Wolverine's sidekick in Logan
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has revealed she missed out on the chance to play Wolverine's clone in Logan.
The 13-year-old actress, who shot to fame as oddball Eleven in the hit Netflix series, auditioned for the role of Laura Kinney in front of Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold - and thought she'd nailed the part.
In a new Variety Actor on Actors series chat with Evan Rachel Wood, she explains, "I was like, 'It's going to be amazing, I'm going to really prepare', and I sat in my room reading the lines... I felt like an actor, in the audition room, hitting Hugh Jackman, and James Mangold sitting right in front of me."
The role of X-23 eventually went to 11-year-old Dafne Keen, and after seeing Logan, Brown accepts Mangold made the right choice.
"She was incredible," she said.
Jackman was obviously impressed - he recently suggested Keen should take over as Wolverine now he has hung up his X-Men claws for good.
Meanwhile, Brown is excited for the second season of Stranger Things and her first movie, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which is set for a 22 March, 2019 release.
"It's my first movie," she gushed. "I'm really excited and that's really all I can say, but it's going to be great!"
