Miley Cyrus to induct Joan Jett & the Blackhearts into Hall of Fame
Miley Cyrus has been revealed as the odd choice to induct Joan Jett & The Blackhearts into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The provocative pop star has been asked by Jett to honour her band at the prestigious ceremony on 18 April (15), and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame president and CEO Greg Harris insists fans shouldn't be too surprised by the rocker's choice of presenter.
He says, "It was interesting to learn that they are mutual
admirers. They're great friends and admirers."
Meanwhile, Foo Fighters leader Dave Grohl and Tommy James will
perform with Jett and her band after their induction.
Jett famously covered Tommy James and Shondells' Crimson &
Clover.
Other inductees include Green Day, the late Lou Reed, Bill Withers,
and Ringo Starr, who will be honoured by his former Beatles
bandmate Sir Paul McCartney.
