Miley Cyrus' new puppy helps her cope with beloved pet's death

Miley Cyrus has a new pet to help her cope with the death of her beloved dog Floyd.

The Wrecking Ball singer broke down during gigs in Boston, Massachusetts and East Rutherford, New Jersey this week (beg31Mar14) as she attempted to pay tribute to her dead pooch, and her Twitter.com feed has been full of desperate notes about how miserable she feels.

Her mother Tish attempted to cheer the singer up on Friday (04Apr14) by bringing home a new puppy, called Moonie.

Cyrus posted a shot of the new addition on Twitter, adding, "My mama knew my heart was broken & this morning I woke up to Moonie kisses."

She later added, "No one could ever replace my baby Floyd but this precious angel is lendin (sic) me some fur to cry on along with my other babies. Can't wait to introduce Bean and Happy to Moonie."

Cyrus alerted fans to the death of her Alaskan Klee Kai on Wednesday (02Apr14), tweeting, "Today is the 2nd worst day of my life. I don't wanna say it because I don't want it to be real."
