Miley Cyrus desperate to wake up from dog death nightmare
Pop star Miley Cyrus has poured her heart out on Twitter.com as she continues to mourn the death of her beloved dog Floyd, insisting she is desperate to wake up from "this nightmare".
The Wrecking Ball hitmaker was left devastated last month (Apr14) after her pooch passed away, and she struggled through the painful loss by breaking down in tears as she dedicated songs to her furry friend while onstage as part of her Bangerz tour.
However, more than a month on, Cyrus is still trying to come to
terms with Floyd's death and she spent her Saturday (17May14) in
bed as she nursed her broken heart while on the European leg of her
world tour.
In a lengthy note posted to her Twitter page, she wrote in part, "I
feel like I let my boy down. My job was to protect him and I'm not
a person that takes failure lightly...
"Today is one of those days where I can't open the curtains to see
the sun... open the windows to hear the world going on around me
because to be honest I hate the fact that the world's still
spinning. I want it to stop... I want everyone's heart to break the
way my heart is breaking."
She continued, "No matter how much I cry or beg of 'god' to wake me
up from this nightmare, it is what it is (at least that's what
everyone keeps reminding me). There's no waking up from reality so
today I am being a helplessly hopeless human & I'm ok with
that."
The singer has endured a rough few weeks - she also had to scrap a
series of U.S. and European dates throughout April and early May
(14) after she was hospitalized following a severe allergic
reaction to medication she was prescribed for a sinus
infection.
